Conducting a training on international commercial arbitration with Pakistani judges

On November 11, 2019 Giorgio Fabio Colombo, Associate Professor of Law at Nagoya University Graduate School of Law, conducted a one-day training on international commercial arbitration with a selection of Pakistani judges at the premises of the Federal Judicial Academy of Pakistan in Islamabad.
The training was held under the auspices of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan, the Federal Judicial Academy of Pakistan, EURO-EXPERT – ERC funded project and Cultural Expertise for Judicial Education in Pakistan and Indonesia – GCRF project. The attendance was composed by more than 30 judges from various provinces of Pakistan, and it was divided into a theoretical introduction and a group discussion session.
The day was closed by a ceremony with the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Senior Puisne Judge, Acting Chief Justice, Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Mohammad Raheem, Secretary of Law and Justice Commission Pakistan, and Prof. Dr. Livia Holden (Oxford University).
