Great News from Cambodian Graduates

We are delighted to share a very pleasant news that four Cambodian graduates of Nagoya University have been appointed as advisors to the 1st Vice President of the National Assembly of Cambodia by His Majesty the King of the Kingdom of Cambodia pursuant to the Royal Decree No. 0222/174 dated 25 February 2022.

H.E SAMRETH Mammoun is the Advisor to the 1st Vice President of National Assembly with a rank as Secretary of State. He is the President of “Mammoun & Associates” law firm and member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia. He is also Professor of Law at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. He joined an exchange program at Graduate School of Law (GSL), Nagoya University from 1999 to 2000. He was a research student at GSL from 2002 to 2003. He completed Master program in 2005 at Graduate School of International Development (GSID), Nagoya University and completed PhD program at GSID 2010. His field of study at Nagoya University is Private International Law (WTO Law) and Private Law.

H.E PHIN Sovath is the Advisor to the 1st Vice President of National Assembly with a rank as Secretary of State. He is the Partner and Practice Leader of Intellectual Property and co-leads Corporate and M&A and Litigation and Dispute Resolution at BUN and Associates Law Firm. He is a lawyer and member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia. He is commercial arbitrators and a member of the National Commercial Arbitration Centre and a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitration (SIArb). He is a Trademark Agent in Cambodia, registered with the Ministry of Commerce. He is also Professor of Law and Associate Dean at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. He obtained a Doctor of Laws (Comparative Law) degree in 2009 and Master of Law (Comparative Law) degree in 2006 from Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University. His field of study at Nagoya University is Intellectual Property Law.

H.E SUN Chhun Hieng is the Advisor to the 1st Vice President of National Assembly with a rank as Secretary of State. He is a deputy director of the Department of Capital, Khan and Provincial Administrative Affairs, General Department of Administration, Ministry of Interior, Cambodia. He obtained a Master of Law (Comparative Law) in 2010 and Doctor of Law (Comparative Law) in 2021 from the Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University. His field of study at Nagoya University is Administrative Law.

H.E CHINKET Meta is the Advisor to the 1st Vice President of National Assembly with a rank as Under Secretary of State. He is also holding the position as an Assistant of Advisor of Ministry of Land Management Urban Planning and Construction. He obtained a decree of Master of Law (Modern Law) in 2016 from the Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University. Currently, he is in the Doctor’s Degree Program at Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University. His field of study at Nagoya University is Administrative Law.

Cambodian graduates from Nagoya University have been working in public and private sectors actively contributing to the development of Cambodia. We wish our Cambodian graduates all the best wishes and succeed in their careers and professions.
